Does a customer that came through referral need additional promotion to be convinced?

Many business always relax when they get a customer through referral. They don't bother to promote and convince the referred customer. Does it mean that the fact that they were referred, they don't need any more promotion to be convinced to buy?
 
Even if a customer comes through a referral, I think you still need to show why your product or service is worth it. Referrals give trust, but a little extra info or promotion helps them see the value for themselves. It’s like a friend recommending a movie, you still want to know if you’ll like it.

It’s like a friend telling you a movie is good. You’ll trust them, but you’ll still want to know what kind of movie it is and whether it will appeal to you. Similarly, a customer needs to see the value with their own eyes. A short description, a nice picture, or a small offer can go a long way.

So don’t rely on referrals alone. Also consider how you present your product. Show off its quality in a simple and attractive way. This increases the chance that the customer will take action and come back another day.
