When people talk about locating a business right, they often say that to mean that you should locate the business in a place where there is a high population density.

Does it mean that just because a place is densely populated that business would automatically do well there?

Having a high population in a place does not mean the business would generate profit, unless they are your target audience. It's going to sell meat in a place filled with vegetarians.

Yeah right if the population are your target audience then you might have just struck a goldmine but if not, it's nothing
Like my own business, customers have to come from very far distances to patronize whereas the place I am operating in has a high population but not much patronage.

That's is a typical experience. This is why it is not all about a population dense area but where your target market are.

A high population in a place does not automatically mean that business will run smoothly there, there are other factors that need to be considered, the average income in that location, if there are too many poor people then there is no potential for establishing a business.
