Some say having a dedicated location page on your site improves local rankings. Has anyone tried this for their business? Does it work better than just adding the address in the footer or About page?

I don't remember in which other forum I read a question similar to this, but yes, definitely yes, for example here where I live there is a service station or a gas station, as you know it, that has its location on Google Maps and since it is the only one it is the one with the most customers, it is obvious, suppose you have to fill up your car with gas while you are driving, what do you do? You grab your cell phone, search the GPS for a nearby gas station and go to it, right? Well, by this simple fact you know that it works.

It does help but you need to do more than just adding a page with your local information. You also need to use Google My Business
Set informations at Google My Business then use Gemini Code Assist to generate the page.
