I always see that there are some ads displayed when I make searches on Google. Looking at it, do people click such ads on search results to generate traffic to the site advertised? Can one run an advert campaign on search engine results with traffic as the aim?

It is one of the fastest way to receive traffic. You can run ads on search engines especially on Google using Google adword. In fact, it is one of the best method to get tons of traffic overnight but it is quite expensive! Though it depends on niche!

Advertising on search results can definitely bring traffic. People often click on ads if they match what they’re looking for, so targeting the right keywords is key. Google Ads and other search engines let you set campaigns aimed specifically at driving clicks. With the right ad text and bid strategy, it can be a solid way to boost visits.

So obviously their policy is absolutely not, and I believe that is their intention only because consciously giving preferential treatment to sites that host AdSense ads would get them in regulatory trouble. They are already a monopoly, and that would be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

That said, running experiments myself, I have found that Google traffic increases when AdSense ads are hosted on my site. There is also the: “Well, you know they want to give preferential treatment” cynical side of things.
