Does any member of this forum use Telegram to chat with their friends and associates? If yes, what is the procedure for chatting with another person, how to find a person who has given their chat id?

Does anyone use Telegram for chatting?

No, I don't use telegram for chatting with the people. I prefer WhatsApp for the same.
I use Telegram to chat sparingly and it is only for some clients that can't access WhatsApp. I prefer to chat with WhatsApp though.

II have used Telegram before, but only to join a channel. I do not like using it for chatting. I prefer Messenger or Viber instead to chat with some family and friends.

Yes i do make use telegram for chatting, but not as much as i make use of Whatsapp or even Facebook.
Telegram is one of the apps that is installed on my phone for chatting. It is not a major chat app though.
