I have met some people that have refused to activate any form of electronic banking on their accounts. They are of the opinion that electronic banking services make them to spend recklessly since they can access funds from their accounts at anytime and anywhere to buy things.

Would you say an ATM card and other forms of electronic banking makes you to spend recklessly?

No it does not, it all depends on the individual. A person who loves spending will always find a way to spend even when there is no ATM or Internet banking.

To a large extent, people that have problems with spending recklessly have had success with doing away with ATM cards and mobile banking in a bid to curtail these habits. They make sure they only have the option of just bank for withdrawals. And banks close on weekends blocking access to funds when they might need them to embark on their reckless spending.

I don't think it about the card but the intent. one that loves spending will always find a way to spend. it has nothing to do with mobile banking
Not having a card puts some restraint on your spending habits because you might want to spend but there is no avenue to do so.

Everyone has a different lifestyle, including when it comes to spending money. Currently, almost all of our transactions are done digitally, either through mobile banking, ATMs, e-wallets, and electronic cards. If you like shopping, it's best not to use mobile banking.
