Experts often debate the intrinsic value of Bitcoin, and some (especially detractors) believe it does. Bitcoin can be categorized as a monetary asset that can store value, like fiat currencies like USD, EUR, Naira, Peso, IDR, etc., whose value is determined by the dynamics of supply and demand. The following are fundamental values that can be used to determine Bitcoin's intrinsic value:
1. High security
2. Scarcity or limited quantity
3. Decentralization
4. Data and transactions are immutable
5. Utility

Bitcoin's intrinsic value is based on several fundamental characteristics, including its high security, limited scarcity of 21 million, decentralization, immutability of data and transactions, and its utility as a payment system and store of value. Although it is not physically backed or traditionally generates cash flows, its value lies in these digital properties and the network effect that increases its utility and acceptance over time.

Bitcoin is similar to gold in that (a) its' a fixed product (only $21m Bitcoin will ever be mined, which gives an automatic scarcity to it) and (b) it is worth whatever the market is willing to place it at between bitcoin owners, traders and the crypto markets themselves.
