Growing up as a young boy, anytime I was opportuned to meet any person that was a full time cocoa farmer, I knew I had met a millionaire. Cocoa farming was so lucrative that one can sure make millions within one year of entry into the business.

I don't know if it is profitable as before because it is no longer talked about like before. Is it still lucrative as a business?

Cocoa farming is lucrative as it is before but the pronlem with our country is that we solely depend on oil money. Nobody want to look unclean due to farming. We have serious problem in Nigeria, we need to reset our mind first and change our mentality.

Very true, there are so many other ways we can generate money in this country, especially from the agriculture sector, but we are just too focused on oil.

Is not cocoa in danger because of some bacteria like bannans and prediction are not good like it we could lost it forever? We will only eat artificial chocolate based on sugar.
That could be location specific. As for my country, cocoa farms are still doing very healthy and attracting big markets.
