I just heard this one recently. They said that how a person's parents handled money has a direct influence on how the person would handle money.

Do you think that is true? Any chance that you inherited the spending habits of your parents?

Hi, I think there's a lot of truth to that idea. The way our parents handle money definitely influences our financial perceptions and habits. From a young age, we learn by observing, and if our parents are thrifty, we generally adopt that same mindset. On the other hand, if we come from a home where uncontrolled spending was common, we're likely to develop similar habits as well. Personally, I believe we inherit not only behaviors but also attitudes toward money. However, I also believe that over time we can learn and change those habits, since not everything is predetermined. In my case, I recognize that some of my spending habits come from my family, but I try to be more mindful and learn to manage my finances better. Ultimately, family influence is strong, but it doesn't completely determine our financial destiny.

I really do believe that children take the money habits of the parents by default. They can decide to change though later.
