Does low storage space actually slow down a device?

I mean the storage space is not the RAM or the processor. How come that the device would be slowed down in it's operation simply because the storage space is low? Is it true that low storage space actually slows down a device?

Yes having a low storage space on your phone can greatly slow the performance of your phone, it could even lead to it going off most times.

Of course: if you open the Task Manager (Windows environment), you'll see a resource named Memory, contributing to the percentage of the resources used by the device. The higher the amount of the employed resources, the less the device speed.

Low memory doesn't allow the processor to work well to execute tasks. It really slows down a phone. Almost excessively.

I have had a phone that the memory space was small. It practically slowed down when the memory was too low and became faster when the memory was freed up.
