The thing that sites really need is to have good traffic. And one measure that they deploy to get traffic is through posting exchanges. That involves site owners posting on each other's site.

Does using post exchange actually boost traffic to a site?

Post exchange takes a lot of work from oneself and you are not leveraging time. I would rather to boost forum activity through paid post, contests and other paid activities.

Post exchange helps to bring activities and also traffic but this is not a sustainable method to build activities on your site. You will have to find other methods

I think that it does increase the traffic on the site or forums. This is because the forum exchanges create organic traffic.

It depends because some people post high-quality posts in return for that they may get low-quality posts so it doesn't work as expected for half exchange requests.
