Does repetition of adverts over and over for a long period of time work to generate sales?

When you keep on repeating adverts, the audience doesn't have any other option than to take notice your business. Sales should follow all things being equal.
Continous adverts helps to imprint the products in the subconscious of the masses. I think products like coke is a product of massive advertisements! Continous adverts is the secret of most successful companies!
