One of the performance metrics of a smartphone is the battery life. Every resource of the phone saps battery so much. But it seems like the screen is the resource in a smartphone that drains the battery life the most.

What do you think?

From my experience, I think you're right in saying that the screen is one of the biggest battery drainers on a smartphone. The main reason is that screens, especially high-resolution and bright ones, require a lot of energy to function for extended periods. When we use our phones to browse, watch videos, or play games, the screen is always on and often at a high brightness level, which increases its power consumption. However, other factors can also affect battery life, such as background apps, mobile network or Wi-Fi usage, and system functions. But generally speaking, the screen will always be one of the most energy-intensive components, especially if we use it a lot or don't adjust the settings to save battery. That's why many people choose to reduce the brightness or activate power-saving mode to extend battery life.
