According to the report, Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney discusses US President Donald Trump's historic visit to the Middle East and what it signals for a broader shift in US foreign policy. Speaking to Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus, Mr Mulvaney argued that Trump's recent actions reflect a broader realignment in US relations. "I think what Trump is signaling is that this is part of what he sees as a realignment — a new world order," Mulvaney said.
"He's telling people that our relationship as a country is going to be closer with the Gulf States going forward than it has ever been before."And that probably comes at the price of our relationship with, say, continental Europe, that the future is in Dubai, the future is in Riyadh, the future is in Doha, the future is not in Frankfurt or in Paris. "So I think that's one of the major takeaways here from this trip, far beyond some of the details."
