Donald Trump says he's open to Elon Musk acquiring TikTok

On his first full day in office, US President Donald Trump expressed his support for the idea that Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest person, could buy the social media platform TikTok to prevent its potential shutdown in the US. Trump opposed the legislation banning the app because it’s owned by a Chinese company. He said yes when asked if he would consider Elon Musk, a close ally, acquiring TikTok. This was after he announced an AI partnership with three companies, including Larry Ellison’s Oracle. Trump also signed an executive order that postponed the TikTok shutdown in the US, extending the deadline by 75 days.

That's very great News for the TikTok users in the Us. I really don't know why a Chinese company wouldn't be allowed to operate in the Us.

Well it would be okay for him to buy over the platform thsn it being a banned platform in the us

Elon Musk would have monopolized social media if he buys TikTok. I know he isn't going to buy it though.

He might still go ahead to buy it. You never can tell but if that would help to keep the platform for Us citizens then why not
