Dozens feared trapped as cloudburst triggers flash floods in India

Around 13:30, an enormous amount of water went down, causing the Kheerganga river to rise and sending tons of muddy water rushing downhill on the hilly terrain, covering Dharali's roads, buildings, and stores.

While shrieking, blowing whistles, and yelling "run, run" could be heard in the dramatic footage of the muddy water flowing through the streets, witnesses from a nearby town claimed that the abrupt surge did not give anyone time to flee.

There is growing concern that towns and villages downstream may be seriously threatened if this water is not promptly emptied out. Now that they have reached the scene, army troops are announcing that people should avoid the water.

I think it would be safer for people to start moving from those places now, cause anything can happen at anytime.

Yes they should because there is as such no prediction of cloud bursting and it takes few seconds for people to lose their life.

I saw it in the video that I posted. I hope that those trapped in mud were still alive. There are many flood occurrences in India.
