According to the report, in the occupied settlement of Melekino near Mariupol, a basement has been discovered where Russian servicemen who refused to fight with Ukraine are being held. Sources Astra reported that the place is located on an abandoned construction site: soldiers from Yakutia, Buryatia, and Transbaikal Territory are mostly trapped there. One survivor of the confinement noted that military personnel live in cramped and unsanitary conditions for months.

The report stated that among those locked in the basement, some are officially considered missing, and sometimes relatives of these military men are lied to that they are busy on the front line. The publication's interlocutor added that one can get out of there either through a combat mission. Another military officer from Buryatia said that the number of those held goes into the dozens.

The report added that once there were 98 of them in the basement at the same time. The report added that many have not even passed the military medical commission yet, even though someone has been here for six months, someone for a year, and someone has been here for two years. There are mentally unhealthy people with schizophrenia, with other deviations. The basement where the refuseniks are kept is 300 meters away from the sanatorium where tourists rest. Residents can't recall when the construction was abandoned, but say it was a very long time ago.

The situation described in Melekino is truly alarming. The existence of a basement where soldiers who refused to fight for Ukraine are being held in inhumane conditions reveals a serious human rights violation. It is especially concerning that people from different regions, such as Yakutia and Buryatia, are trapped in an abandoned and overcrowded place, in unsanitary conditions and without adequate medical care. The information that some have been in these conditions for months or even years, and that there are people with mental health issues there, is deeply disturbing. Furthermore, the lack of clarity regarding their situation and the lies told to their families further aggravate the gravity of the matter. This underscores the urgent need for an international investigation and action to guarantee the protection of these soldiers and respect for their rights. Such violations cannot be allowed to occur in the 21st century.

Russia ran out of soldiers, more than one million perished in the front so Putin hired even the prisoners and teens who lacked the skills in the battlefield. These prisoners are sickly and don't have the abilities to fight which is why they refused to fight.

This is just madness, after the war what happens next? By the time he ends up killing every single person.

Some of them died, and some are sickly. Putin is evil. Hoping they will be saved and returned to a normal life, if not, all of them will die there.
