According to the report, a Maryland mother, Destiny Faith Chiveral, told 911 her newborn accidentally suffocated between couch cushions, but prosecutors say that story unraveled fast.
The report said that investigators allege the real evidence was on her own phone: Snapchat videos recorded just hours before the baby’s death showing her intoxicated while the infant cried in the background, along with a subtle but chilling detail at the scene, a picture frame that appeared straight in the videos but crooked when police arrived.
The report added that an autopsy later ruled the 5-week-old’s death a homicide caused by blunt force trauma. Now, Chiveral is charged with first-degree murder and multiple counts of child abuse.
This woman's vanity is so absurd. What a vile mother. That baby was precious. She could have left her baby at a fire station or hospital if she didn't want to deal; now she can rot in prison for life.
