The former military head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd), has warned that the economic hardship in Nigeria is getting out of control and he urged the government to act fast.

He said “The hardship in the land is getting out of control,” he said at his residence in Minna when he received the leadership of the Campaign for Democracy and Human Rights l

He added that everybody is crying about this hardship and it seems to be getting out of control, people cannot afford three square meals, the issue of transportation, the hike in fuel, the hike in school fees for the children and the lack of funds in everybody’s pocket is making life difficult for everybody,

He concluded that the federal, states and local governments should see how they can cushion this economic hardship.”

That's a bad news, mate in your country. What kind of president is that, insensitive and no disposition. Tinubo could ask help to allied nations if he cannot find the solution of the people's hunger. That's too much to bear sufferings.

Yeah the situation is really critical now. You can imagine buying a litre of fuel now was a thousand five hundred Naira

That's too much to bear how will the people whose income are below poverty level? They should be supported by the government and the wealthy people there.

Mate, It is not easy at all for some people in the country but I want to believe that we would still survive

People there must have unity and never lose hope. If they have small lands, they need to plant crops to sustain.

Your government is insensitive to the needs of the people. What s he doing why is it that he cannot give assistance to the needy.
Yesh they are really insensitive to our plight I don't just understand why they can't help the helpless masses

Unless your president declares Nigeria bankrupt but it is not happening but why does he remain thick face and all the people in the Senate and Congress, very shameless.

In general, economic difficulties in developing countries occur due to very high levels of corruption, coalitions and nepotism, so that budget allocations and state spending are not used properly or are diverted into private pockets, which ultimately causes misery to the people.

That is very true, the corrupt officials in the politics and even not officials are greedy that they cannot remember their pledge to the people during the campaign period. They are not committed to their service to the country.

Well stated, these are the issues we are seriously facing in our country. A lot of government workers and politicians are looting the country dry and making the masses suffered
