FAAN bans cash transactions at airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has banned cash transactions for all services nationwide effective Feb. 28
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Consumer Protection at FAAN, Mr Henry Agbebire, on Thursday in Lagos.

FAAN said that the reaffirmation became necessary after executives of the various aviation unions visited the FAAN management to seek clarification on the cessation of cash transactions at airports on Wednesday.

Cash transactions should not be done at places like airports. That's too advanced a place to be carrying cash because you want to pay for something.

I think it makes sense though, this way they can also monitor the amount of cash that comes in as well.

this way they can also see all amount of cash that comes, and I think it much safer this way.
