Macedonian literary community is mourning the loss of Branko Cvetkoski, one of the nation's most revered contemporary poets, who passed away peacefully at his home. Cvetkoski, known for his lyrical and philosophical verses exploring themes of time, memory, and the Macedonian landscape, authored over twenty collections. He received numerous awards, including the "Golden Wreath" of the Struga Poetry Evenings. The President called him "a pillar of our modern culture whose words gave voice to the soul of a nation." A state funeral is being planned, and a national day of mourning has been declared for December 28.
