Father accused of killing daughter's alleged rapist running for sheriff

According to the report, a father accused of killing his 14-year-old daughter's alleged rapist announced he is running for sheriff because the "system failed."

The report also stated that Spencer was arrested in October 2024 after he allegedly killed Michael Foster, 67, in Lonoke County. The day of the incident, Spencer reported to the police that his daughter was missing. As police were on their way to Spencer's home, Spencer found his daughter in a vehicle with Fosler. Fosler had a no-contact order because he had stalked and raped the 14-year-old.

The report added that Spencer then allegedly shot and killed Fosler after a confrontation between the two men arose. The child's mother had thought Fosler might be trying to kill her daughter because he was wanted for a possible six to nine felonies and her daughter was the only witness.

In addition to the report, Sheriff John Staley noted that Spencer's case would be up to the Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney's Office to decide whether or not to actually file charges against Spencer, according to Law and Crime.

Spencer is out on bond as his case remains ongoing.

That could be possible but he was not doing the right thing. What if the person he killed wasn't the criminal? Also, he should have reported the criminal to the police.

Exactly, at the end of the day killing is wrong. Even if the person was the actual rapist, killing the person is wrong.

The issue is that he killed someone so whether who he killed is a criminal or not, he must have the evidence. He should have dialled the police station.

Killing ist wrong he too must be killed i however say maybe if the person was a problem and acted in self defense the matter must be looked into
