From the report of Kingsville, Texas, Texas, a father was arrested after his teenage daughter allegedly gave birth in a Walmart bathroom and threw the child in a trash can, with the baby later being pronounced dead.
According to a press release obtained by the police officers in Walmart, at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday after employees discovered a newborn baby in a bathroom trash can. Although the workers attempted to perform life-saving measures on the child, it was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The report said that a 17-year-old teen delivered a child and threw the newborn in the trash can. Officers eventually found the teenager's car and performed a traffic stop before quickly taking the girl to the hospital to receive treatment.
In addition to the report, the teenager's father, 45-year-old Jerry Lee Martinez, was arrested and charged with abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence, but police did not specify his connection to the crime, per the outlet.
