FCT police arrest 6 over k!lling of man accused of stealing tubers of yam at Abuja market
Six suspects have been taken into custody by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command in connection with the killing of an innocent man that caused disturbances at Gosa Market, which is situated along the Abuja Airport Road.
The incident, which caused pandemonium among customers, traders and residents, followed the d3ath of a man accused of stealing tubers of yam in the market.
Due to the incident, a lot of people have stopped going to the market, which is thought to be among the most reasonably priced places in the FCT to buy food.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Adewale Ajao, who made this known at a media briefing on Friday, July 4, 2025 said following the incident, the police swiftly moved into the area to douse tensions and restore normalcy
