A group of Brazilian women in prison had a unique opportunity to dress up, wear dresses and participate in a singing competition held Friday at a prison in Rio de Janeiro. The event was aimed at showcasing their talents and boosting their confidence before their release.
A panel of judges made up of celebrities including actor and TV host David Brazil and singer Marcelo Matar carefully evaluated the contestants, awarding points based on their voice, delivery, charm and personality.
Fernández Dominguez, 36, emerged as the winner. This year’s competition, with the theme of hope and liberation, was the third to be organized by the prison administration of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
