Report has it that atleast fifteen persons including three children were burnt to death in a petrol tanker explosion that occurred along the Ugwu Onyeama section of the Enugu -Onitsha Expressway at about 11.30am on Saturday, January 25.


Eyewitnesses say that the explosion occurred when a fuel-laden tanker fell while navigating down the hilly busy expressway.They described the blast as devastating, saying that the ensuing fire also gutted another truck behind it, leading to the escalation of the fire.

Yeah this might just have been the happening. This is how one very careless smoker as endanger the lives of others

Someone doesn't need to smoke before a tanker explodes. A tanker falling down and hitting the ground with huge force is enough to cause an explosion.

This is another angle to it. But this was not stated so anyone is free to put any speculation to the real cause of it

In that particular tanker explosion, one family lost four family members aged 33,31, 28 and 24. The entire family future prospects wiped out within a twinkle. It is more than horrible and sad for the bereaved family.
