Filing a police complaint on behalf of a senior citizen

If the home of a senior citizen is ransacked and the senior citizen is in a state of shock, what is the procedure which relatives should follow to file a police complaint? The relatives are not living in the house and do not know what is missing.

Here, we have to go in person to the Police Station to file a formal complaint. In your case, maybe you can tell the situation to the Police and see if they can offer to come to the senior's house to record the incident.
