By right, when we are serving customers in our business places, we are supposed to do it on a first come, first serve basis.

But have you ever had to break the unwritten rule and serve a latter customer over the one that had come first? What made you to break the First Come, First Serve?

Serving your customers on first come, first save doesn't work when there are pregnant women and nursing mothers in the queue to be served. I would break that protocol and serve the nursing mothers/pregnant women.

I experienced it, I requested a customer ahead in the cashier's counter to let me be served first because I only pay 1 item while the customer ahead of me voluminous and she agreed. I also let the cashier knew and it was successful.

The only time I have broken this rule is when it comes to payment. In most cases a customer who comes first might not always be the first to pay. The customer who pays first gets the full treatment.

Agree, I also observed it in the bank the number ahead of me was called but the person wasn't there so it's me to get in first and when the person arrived he murmured but the teller told him to get another priority number. He sucked.

Like in my kind of business that people have to come in and make their choices, anyone that is ready to buy is the one I serve. I wouldn't be waiting for a customer that is still undecided because he or she came first.

First come, first serve is applied not only in stores but in banking services, in schools when paying tuition, and when paying bills. But if you are a senior citizen, you will be attended first. There is also a separate lane for the seniors.

If you violate the first come first serve rule, if other customers who were overtaken find out, they will certainly be angry, and they will even write on social media about your unprofessional business. If the customer happens to be your relative or friend, they can go through the back door or another way.
