In Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, terrible monsoon floods and landslides have claimed the lives of at least 194 people in the past 24 hours.
Most of the deaths, 180, were reported by disaster officials in the northwest Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is hilly.
During operations, a rescue chopper crashed, killing five of its crew members, and at least 30 homes were destroyed. According to the report, five persons killed in the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region and nine more died in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
According to government forecasters, the country's northwest, where many regions have been declared disaster zones, will get lots of rain until August 21.
