Floods and landslides in Indonesia have left five people missing and three dead

Heavy rains in the country of Indonesia have caused severe flooding and landslides, especially on the island of Java. Because of this, three people have sadly lost their lives, including a child, and five others are still missing. The floods affected 24 towns, which prompted thousands of residents in the capital, Jakarta, and nearby cities to evacuate their homes. Authorities have even implemented weather modification techniques to help manage the situation. Indonesia often experiences landslides during the rainy season, and climate change is making these storms more powerful and frequent.
