I am running forums as well as blogs, based on my experience, blogs are easier to manage. However, getting traffic on forums is a lot easier than getting traffic on blogs. What do you think is easy, forum or blog?

A blog is easier for you to manage because you can control contents quality but you would need lots of moderation to manage a forum.
You need to moderate comments inside a blog too. Means there still a moderation part even if comments are only allowed for the users.

Personally I think blogs are easier to manage. With forums you are dealing with more persons bringing in different contents, you have to constantly ensure they putting the right contents at the right place and all that.

Management of blog is not just related to moderating blog comments, you also need to work on other things, for instance sending newsletters.

With blogs, you decide what is to be published, and the other modalities of content generation and publishing. With forums, everything just leaves your control. I prefer to manage blogs where I can have control than managing forums where I have absolutely no control.

In my opinion, managing a blog will be easier, because only certain people create articles or content, while forums will be full of spamming, plagiarism, AI content, etc. so Google will also refuse to rank forum sites that are not of good quality. Because not all moderators will work hard if they are just volunteers.

I personally won't want to run a forum for any reason. The amount of spam on forums is what I can't really stand. People would just intentionally aim to spam forums and having to find and delete spam posts is not easy.

I do not have experience managing a forum. My ex and I tried to set one up before, but due to busy schedules, we were not able to handle it. So, I think I will stick with blogs for now. I have had a few websites in the past.
