Reports made available online is that four people have been killed after a passenger train collided head-on with a freight train in the Czech Republic.

This happened late Wednesday night in the city of Pardubice - 62 miles (100km) east of Prague.Twenty-three people were injured in the incident

Interior minister Vit Rakusan said the high-speed passenger train belonged to the private RegioJet company. He added that none of the injured was in life-threatening condition.

I don't really know how trains work, but I know they are usually programed in a way were two trains won't be in the same track at the same time. Maybe there was some mixup somewhere.

I am glad that only four people died on that incident. Had it been a road accident many people would have lost their lives.
