Free tool to check website visitor count

Other than Google analytics is there are any tool available to check or even estimate the number of visitors for a website. The tool should be free and not require any registration. I have tried using Ahrefs tool for some of my websites, yet the tool is showing zero visitors, when actually the website has some visitors. Do you check the number of visitors for your website regularly ?

If you have cpanel, you can use awstats and webalizer to check your website’s traffic stats.
