Freelancing and blogging, both are reliable ways to make money online, but what do you think pays better? Well, Freelancing is great for those with skills in writing, design, or tech. It takes time to build, but it can lead to steady income. With a blog, you can earn via ad revenue or affiliate marketing. If you write for existing content sites, you might earn faster. But still it takes very long time to build traffic and revenue.

In the Western countries, blogging is considered (by the financial and tax laws) a freelancing activity also. So following the same rules, none of them pay a good income, as a third of the earning goes away to pay taxes, fees and to comply with the laws. And a VAT is compulsory in both cases.

I think there is a difference, with freelancing you offer services to other people and businesses, with blogging you try to make money through ads and sponsorships

In most of Western countries, both are equally treated by tax and financial laws, as ads and sponsorships are considered a true business cause their nature. That's why in southern Europe and here and there in Latin America (especially in southern Europe) people are used to run away from freelancing and whatever activity involves the compulsory opening of a VAT. The expenses in taxes and fees very easily overcome whatever earnings. They prefer by far the classic 9 to 5 offline job or staying unemployed to lose money to the R.S.I. or to run the risk to get severely fined at the slightest mistake.
