This year due to personal reasons like health of elderly relatives, I have to travel often, and I find it very expensive. How often do members of this forum travel to a different state, and how to reduce expenses?

I normally take a leisure trip once or twice a year. One short trip and one longer. I love traveling. It helps me to refresh myself. When I travel, I like to enjoy local street foods and I stay in 3-star hotels.
You are right due to my uncle I had to travel slot and it was not funny. I was drained both physically and financially. it's not easy with frequent travels

Traveling to another state can really break the bank, whether via land or air. Personally, I opt for road trips when visiting my parents, but it still puts a dent in my wallet.
This is it is only good to go on a planned travel. Which means you have saved for the travel and it isn't just money in your pocket
Travel expenses are not to expensive. You can find cheap flights or buses but accomodation is to expensive. Hostels for one night become very expensive to. Hotels I will not even mention or private rooms.
When you have to travel very frequently and it is not business trips that is yielding money, it would definitely affect your finances.
With the high cost of PMS used to fuel cars, it becomes very expensive to travel as things stand. You would need a huge budget to travel from one state to another.

Yes, it is important to plan ahead for your trips. Saving money in advance will make it much easier for you when the day of your journey arrives.
My point exactly, this is what I do all the time. i plan my travel long time and save up for it before trying to take the trip
Last year, federal government of Nigeria removed subsidy in petroleum and the price of transportation jumped and become unbearable for poor and the rich alike. I don't travel for fun now. I only travel when there is important issues
I really dont travel much. And my relatives live in two which is just 45 mins away. I pay $0.75 to get there is i use public transport. If I use my car then I dont really use much fuel.since I live in the village, they like to travel here for the peace and nature.

I love traveling, but due to the cost of traveling, I don't travel as often as I would have loved to.
Before you make a simple journey to the next city, you would have to spend so much money. People travel less these days.
Some parents are even urging their kids to send the huge amount of money they would have spent on transportation to them.
