According to the report, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, using sea drones, defeated Russian special forces that were attempting to land on one of the gas production rigs in the Black Sea. Z-war correspondent Vladimir Romanov writes about this, complaining that the occupiers became a target, “like in a shooting gallery” – the enemy had practically nowhere to hide in the open sea." As soon as our specialists land on the tower and they land specialists whose qualifications are unique, the enemy immediately begins to destroy them, like in a shooting gallery," the propagandist reports. He posted footage of a Ukrainian surface drone with four FPV drones on board heading to attack the tower. The Z-war correspondent added that large-caliber machine guns were also used to attack the Russian special forces. It is worth noting that the towers located in the Black Sea are used for reconnaissance and logistics in various operations. In particular, they are used to install signal repeaters for drones. Thus, control over these platforms is of paramount importance in the current war.

The report also stated that, as reported, Ukrainian defenders have previously repeatedly attacked gas rigs in the Black Sea used by Russian troops. Recently, a gas production platform in the Black Sea, near temporarily occupied Crimea, is reportedly on fire. The facility had been used by Russian forces for military purposes. The Crimean Wind monitoring group reported that a naval engagement occurred in the area overnight. However, details regarding the forces and assets involved remain unknown. A fire marker appeared on one of the platforms in the Karkinit Bay in the Black Sea, near temporarily occupied Crimea. Russia has been using gas production platforms in the Black Sea for military purposes. These platforms are used to deploy troops, install small radar systems for monitoring air and surface activity, signal relays for drones, and reconnaissance equipment to track the movements of Ukrainian forces. It is worth noting that a previous strike on Russian-occupied gas platforms took place on May 19.

The report added that during that operation, the Neva radar, storage facilities, and a residential unit were destroyed. The Security Service of Ukraine carried out a successful special operation, during which targets on the captured gas drilling platforms in the Black Sea were struck. The operation, carried out by the 13th Main Directorate of the Military Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine, was conducted using both naval and aerial drones. First, a drone was used to strike enemy targets, having successfully destroyed the Neva radar, which was used by Russian forces to monitor the air and surface situation. The radar operates in the Ka-band and can function both autonomously and in conjunction with other sensors at the observation point. The antenna is 2.5 meters long. There are two variants: Neva-B — without backup radar units, and Neva-B2M — with them. The radar’s instrumental detection range is 45 km. In addition, storage facilities and a living block on the platform were destroyed.
