We are often attracted to or fascinated by something we don't yet know for certain, just as we see the stars and the moon from Earth as always beautiful. Likewise, when investing in stocks, we are often drawn to stocks associated with America or other developed countries, or what we know as global stocks. This lack of knowledge and fear leads many investors to prefer local or domestic stocks.
To date, I have never personally invested in global stocks for various reasons, such as:
- Lack of information/data on stocks issued by companies domiciled in other countries.
- Brokerage commissions, transaction fees, taxes, and other costs will certainly be higher than those associated with local stocks.
- Local currency conversions to USD often fluctuate, making more accurate analysis difficult.
- Have you ever invested in global stocks?
