Guatemala Hit By 5.2 Earthquake, President Arevalo Confirms 37 Aftershocks, Widespread Damage

According to the report, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck southern Guatemala on July 8, triggering at least 37 aftershocks up to magnitude 5.6, authorities said. President Bernardo Arevalo confirmed that while homes collapsed and roads were blocked by landslides, there were no deaths were reported. Two people were rescued, while operations continue to free three others. Damage was mostly minor, affecting Adobe houses in towns like Santa Maria de Jesus. Classes and public activities have been suspended in three regions as disaster teams assess structural damage and safety conditions.

There are many earthquake attacks this month .Recently, Japan islands were hit by 1000 earthquakes.
