Gunmen killed a man identified as Bright Ezechukwu, less than 24 hours to his wedding in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Bright had gone to pick up his fiancée, Chinwendu, in Ihiala town, accompanied by his best man and the chief bridesmaid, on November 22, 2024, when the tragedy occurred.

Bright and Chinwendu's wedding was scheduled to hold for Saturday, November 23.

It was gathered that Bright, his fiancée and two others were returning to the Uli community in the same Ihiala Local Government Area when the gunmen struck, shooting Bright daad

This incident happened in my local government area. It is very painful and disheartening that one cannot sleep in the night and have peace. The killing is rampant and seems to me to be baseless.
