Haiti's women to avoid pregnancy as maternity service collapsed

Middwives at Heart line Haiti were in fear last week. As they prepared the maternity clinic for patients only for armed men to laid siege to their neighbourhood in eastern Port-au-Prince.

The armed men stared spraying bullets at police, rival gangs and setting cars on fire. Almost all the staff were huddled in an interior hallway they were afraid they may be next,. A gang member was later shot dead outside.
