According to the report, Israel said on February 21 , that one of the bodies returned from Gaza is not that of Shiri Bibas, as claimed by Hamas. The Palestinian group said on February 20 handed over four hostage bodies under the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas said the remains included those of Bibas and her two young sons, whose father was released by the group this month. At Hamas’s handover ceremony, one of the four coffins handed over was marked as being that of Shiri Bibas, featuring her photograph and name.
The report said that Israeli forensic experts said that slain hostages Oded Lifshitz and brothers Ariel and Kfir Bibas were identified. However, the third body at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute was not that of their mother, Shiri Bibas, says the Israel Defence Forces.
The report added that Specialists at Abu Kabir were not able to identify the body, which the IDF said did not match any male or female hostage. Calling it a “serious violation” of the truce deal, the IDF demanded the return of her body along with the other remaining hostages.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister claimed that Hamas "put the body of a Gazan woman in a coffin" instead of Shiri Bibas. He also vowed to will “act with determination to bring Shiri home along with all our hostages - both living and dead.”
The Hamas violated the agreement. Those Palestinian hostages were returned complete and alive , whereas, some Israeli hostages were returned dead and and one dead body is not of the Bibas kids' mom. it is a serious violation.
