A teenaged girl next door in my residential area is trying to woo her boyfriend by spending money on him just because his family doesn't appreciate her. She is eager to impress him and marry him. I think her family members should help her develop some self- respect so that she chooses the right person as a life partner in future.

You got me wrong. The girl fights with her mother and grandmother to extract money to spend on her boy friend who is avoiding her. The family is trying to control her.
