Has your bank been out of service for more than 24 hours?

Most of us depend on our banks to make purchases and complete business transactions. That is why banking services are considered as essential services.

Sometimes, bank networks can misbehave. Have you been in a situation where your bank's network was out for a long time? Say, 24 hours. How did you cope with financial transactions in that period?

Never experienced this situation. The maximum downtime of my bank's network was about 4 hours.

My bank was out of service for a whole weekend recently. They had announced it though but it was very inconveniencing.

It is a common thing for a bank to be out of service in my country but not as long as up to 24 hours.

So far, I don't think it has happened for the whole day, but it has been out of service for hours. It was due to some maintenance going on though.

Banks may temporarily be out of service, especially when they need to perform maintenance. Generally, they provide notice a few days in advance of the scheduled maintenance date. Customers are advised to complete their banking activities before the maintenance to prevent any issues.

Although I have not encountered any banking network disruptions, it could happen at any time. For this I have several different bank accounts so that if one bank experiences disruptions I can use another account.

This has never happened to the bank I use, and I have never heard of anything like this happening in our country

I think it is an irresponsible bank that would have network issues beyond six hours without it getting resolved.

Though the out of service is common with banks in my country but I'm lucky that it doesn't affect my own bank
