Email marketing is a popular marketing method, it is also widely used marketing method. You can use email marketing to promote products and services for driving sales or promote content to build traffic. Have you ever been able to build traffic through your email marketing? When you promote content through email marketing, do you get traffic to your content through your subscribers, how many subscribers do you have?

Wouldn't you visit a site where you voluntarily subscribed for news and updates through emails? Let's say you internet service sends you email with offers, wouldn't you click on the links?

I agree. It's a saying that everyone chooses their weapon in battle. Social media and forums give you instant engagement and direct feedback from live people. Email marketing requires a clean list and great consistency, which is why some find it difficult. If you are comfortable with platforms that give you instant visibility and interaction, then that is the best way for you. At the end of the day, what counts is the audience reaching and the content reaching.
