I have just watched a video on the YouTube that it's very possible to use the laptop as a Tv when you connect the laptop to a setlite top box with a HDMI cable.

I have not done it, it will be exciting. But If I watch a movie, I use my laptop. It also looks like I am watching it on a TV.
One doesn't even need to buy any box to use a laptop as a television. You just need to stream popular TV stations live and you get to watch as a TV.
