In my country when one opt to watch the television by using the pc or laptop they must buy some other gadgets like the TV card that is mounted on the devices so that they can access the TV on the computer.

I have not done it. We have a separate TV and computer. We have three Television sets at home and not all watch TV on the computer.

I have never bought this, the highest I have done so far is to simply download an app on my phone I use to watch free channels.

In my country we can always download My TV it's free. That's what we are doing here if like to watch a movie via phone.

I don't know how a TV card works but I believe that it is no longer fashionable. You can easily stream to watch your TV nowadays without a TV card.

For me l am considering free channels when l am able to watch them offline. Online watching is never free as it uses a lot of internet data bundles

Yes that's true, watching online still consumes data, but if you want to watch anything offline, you need to first download it with data.
