Have you ever repaired by yourselves your own devices in the case of malfunctioning, whether software, whether hardware?

All of us know that maintenance of our devices (desktops, notebooks, netbooks, tablets, telephones and other intelligent stuff) may become very expensive. If we own a little bit of knowledge about technology, we can do basic repairing. I have often engaged in software repairing, especially in old notebooks owning DVD-ROM slots, as an external tool is often needed. On his side, my husband provided hardware repairing, as he counts on technical studies. Only when we don't own a specific repairing tool, we are compelled to resort to repair shops.

No, I do not repair my gadget. I do not have ample skills. I bring my laptop to my tech friend whenever a problem arises on my laptop or phone.

My laptop had a little issue some time back but I was lucky to be able to fix it myself. I don't normally repair my things myself, though; I usually give it to someone who has the skills and experience.

This week, taking the opportunity of the Black Friday, I purchased a (used) motherboard carrying a processor for my husband. He needs to repair his desktop, so he'll save money for repairing or worse, a new desktop (he can't afford).

Sometimes the computer would malfunction because of the dust accumulated and I would remove the dust on the computer, especially the fans so that it would properly again.

It also happened to my nephew: his desktop stopped working cause dust, but my husband, while cleaning it to help our nephew, even found a cockroach in the case. In my country, we easily face insects invasion...

I always google ways of fixings a certain malfunction of my laptop. So far it has worked. I am yet to find a peoblem that google does t help me solve.

In the case of Windows devices, there is a tool named Wise Registry Clean, that repairs various issues, including through registry defrag. Yet Linux devices are more complicated to repair, but they usually present less issues than Windows.
