Have you sold membership?

Selling membership is one of the best ways to monetize your website. If you can get paying members, you don't even have to run ads, your members will bring you a lot of revenue. However, this will work only when you have a lot active users on your sites and you offer something valuable for your members to grab. I have never tried this method to monetize my websites but I am thinking to try it on my forums

Have never done this before though, but I think members will be willing to pay for membership if the price is reasonable and they are gaining value from the site, they will definitely pay.
