The Nigerian police in Osun State has arrested four suspects that conspired and killed a 45-year-old woman for money ritual in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The suspects were arrested following a report of a missing person as reported by the son of the deceased at the Apomu Police Division in Osun.
The deceased Usman Aminat, left home for lyana Ajia-lbadan, Oyo State to pay a visit to Onifade Oyekanmi but since then her cell phones were switched off and her whereabout was unknown. So the family at this point strongly suspected that the said Oyekanmi, who is an herbalist, that she went to visit should know about the deceased disappearance.
Onifade was arrested and taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Osogbo, Osun, for discreet investigation.
His confession led to the arrest of the three other suspects. The four of them confessed to the individual roles they played. This shows that they all conspired to use the victim for money making rituals.
Search warrants were executed on their houses burnt human parts,, a big black clay pot and some cutlasses with black soaps were recovered. So they confessef on how they strangled the victim to death in the house of Oyekanmi and dismembered her body for money rituals.
