According to the report, Hezbollah deputy chief Naim Qassem announced that his group was in a "new phase" in its battle against Israel. "We have entered a new phase, namely an open reckoning" with Israel, Naim Qassem was quoted by news agency AFP.
The report said that "Threats will not stop us... We are ready to face all military possibilities," he added.
The report added that White House national security spokesperson John Kirby warned that a regional military escalation is not in Israel's "best interest.” The remarks come amid heightening cross-border tensions between Israel and Lebanon which have led to fears of an all-out war."
